Led by the University of Macerata (Italy) and supported by a consortium of distinguished educational institutions across Europe, STEM4Humanities aims to empower humanities students with the key skills and competencies needed to succeed in today's work environment. By enhancing interdisciplinary learning and innovation, the project seeks to create a more inclusive and dynamic educational landscape.

Through a range of innovative activities , including online trainings, free educational resources, online internships and interdisciplinary approaches, STEM4Humanities seeks to equip humanities faculty and students with the tools and knowledge of STEM principles.

The project's kick-off meeting, held in Macerata, Italy on 8-9 February 2024, marked the start of a collaborative journey towards transformative change in education. Partner institutions, including Georgian International University GIU (Georgia), Mitropolitiko College Anoymi Ekpaideytiki Etairia (Greece), Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Ukraine), Organization “Innovation Hive”(Greece), Universite de Lille (France), Mykolo Romerio Universitetas (Lithuania), Politechnika Wroclawska (Poland), met to lay the foundations for the implementation of the project.

The next step is to distribute a self-assessment tool to university professors teaching in humanities faculties to explore their STEM competencies and needs. Based on the analysis of the results, we will create an online educational program (STEM training to Humanities professors) with the aim of supporting them in the integration of STEM principles in their teaching.
