President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay an official visit to Iran in the coming days, TASS reports with reference to the IRNA news agency.

This will be a two-day visit, during which it is planned to sign an agreement on strengthening cooperation. Along with the head of state, a government delegation will also arrive in Iran.

The Turkmen leader will visit the neighboring country on the invitation of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. One of the first congratulating Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his election to the highest state post, Raisi in a congratulatory message stressed that Turkmenistan occupies a special place in Iran's relations with neighboring countries.

Earlier it became known that Iran will double the import of Turkmen gas for swap deliveries under the scheme Turkmenistan-Iran-Azerbaijan.

Today, the telephone conversation has taken place between incumbent President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifah.

Having exchanged warm greetings, the interlocutors highly appreciated the traditionally friendly interstate dialogue, which has obtained a new content in the modern epoch.

An official visit of the Türkmen leader to the Kingdom of Bahrain and a state visit of the King of Bahrain to Turkmenistan, which relatively took place in 2011 and 2019, became landmark events in the history of bilateral relations. By the outcome of the high-level talks, important agreements were reached and a pack of documents, which laid a reliable foundation for further fruitful cooperation, was signed.

In the course of conversation incumbent President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov touched on the topic of the Presidential elections, which were held in our country on March 12, and by its results, Serdar Berdimuhamedov was elected new head of the Turkmen state. As the leader of the nation informed, from this moment, he intends to continue his active work as Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.

Having noted that in recent years under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Turkmenistan has reached significant progress in all spheres of life of the state and society, King Hamad al Isa Khalifah wished the leader of the nation success in his further work for the benefit of his country and people.

Having expressed his acknowledgment for kind words, incumbent President of Turkmenistan, availing of the given opportunity, thanked the King of Bahrain for his personal contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations.

Further, the leader of the nation passed the receiver to newly elected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Having warmly congratulated the newly elected head of Turkmenistan with his victory at the presidential elections, the King of Bahrain wished him great success in his responsible work at the highest state post.

Having expressed his sincere gratitude for congratulations and kind wishes, newly elected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov confirmed his readiness to continue the policy initiated by the incumbent head of the state, one of the priority areas of which is development of constructive partnership with countries of the Arab world. On its side, Turkmenistan intends to further strengthen mutually beneficial relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain in all areas: political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

At the ned of the telephone conversation, having expressed confidence that Turkmen-Bahrain cooperation based on unshakable traditions of friendship and brotherhood, principles of equality, mutual respect and support, will further be developed dynamically, incumbent President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, newly elected President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifah exchanged their best wishes of each other and peoples of both countries.

On elections of President of Turkmenistan to the 13 o'clock 71,90% of voters voted.

According to Ahal province voted 71,86%, Balkan province 73,46%, Dashoguz province 70,73%, Lebap province 71,29%, the Mary province 72,71% in the city of Ashgabat 72,83% of voters.

Also, 63,19% of voters voted at polling stations abroad.

March 12, 2022 at 7 o'clock in the morning began voting at all polling stations in 2577 and will end on 19 o'clock in the evening.

On elections of President of Turkmenistan were registered 3435950 voters.

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working trip to Mary region, has held a working meeting on its results.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh.Abdrahmanov, who supervises the fuel and energy complex as well as subordinate institutions of the fuel and energy complex in Mary region and the khyakim of the given region, took part in the meeting.

Chairman of «Türkmengeologiýa» State Corporation M.Rozyev reported on the tasks outlined in the «Working plan for 2022-2023», result of the exploration work carried out in different parts of the country.  

The leader of the nation noted an important role given to efficient introduction of scientific achievements in the work of the fuel and energy complex, making an emphasis on the services adjusted on a scientific basis. 

Further, Chairman of “Türkmengaz” State Concern B.Amanov reported on the work held to modernize gas deposits in various parts of the country, industrial development of new fields, expansion of export routes of the “blue fuel”, recognized as ecologically clean gas in the world. He also expressed his gratitude to the head of the state for continued efforts in development of processing industry in the given sector.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Sh.Abdrahmanov marked that a huge investment is made in our country in development of the oil and gas industry. The Deputy-Chairman also pointed out that in accordance with the instructions of the head of the state, in all structures of the fuel and energy complex, great attention is paid to the ecological state and level of safety of work. 

The President made an emphasis on the fact that a huge investment is made in the oil and gas complex of the country and it has a great significance for development of the sector and supply of oil and gas enterprises with necessary equipment, conduction of exploration work, drilling activities and industrial development of new fields. Thus, large-scale projects are implemented by way of development of international cooperation.

The work carried out by foreign partners, main areas of realization of joint investment projects and development of gas deposit «Galkynysh» were also mentioned.

Besides it, exploration work and prospecting and drilling activities carried out in the country in accordance with the instruction of the head of the state were also reported.

With a view of industrial development of oil and gas rich wells the proper work and research activities are carried out with use of digital technologies in deposits. 

At present, at the giant deposit «Galkynysh» a complex work is carried out to produce, process and transport the “blue fuel”. 

A large-scale work is carried out in the country to diversify economy, to attach an innovation character to it, and to transform into the digital platform, which would rise not only the productivity of wells but also efficiency of work carried out in the gas deposit «Galkynysh».

Having heard the reports, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that optimal solution of tasks in the processing of natural gas and expansion of its export will enable not only to strengthen the national economy but also to establish fruitful international cooperation and made an emphasis on necessity of investment of advanced achievements of world science and practice to this end.

Having noted importance of use of innovative technologies in realization of measures in the given area, the head of the state gave related executives concrete instructions.

Further developing on the theme, the leader of the nation told them to make necessary efforts to adjust work in oil and gas enterprises in accordance with the requirements of the time. 

The head of the state also commissioned them to accelerate the pace of exploration work, complex measures taken to prospect, discover and open new oil and gas deposits. 

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made an emphasis on intensification of relations with leading world profile institutions using the opportunity of modern communications systems and digital technologies that will enable to train highly qualified personnel for the oil and gas sector and to hold a scientific experimental work.

Besides it, one should strengthen the material and technical basis of the fuel and energy complex, including exploration institutions as well as reconstruction of industrial projects, in case of necessity and prepare concrete proposals to attract investment in realization of new projects, the head of the state stated.

Then, the leader of the nation gave the floor to khyakim of Mary region D.Annaberdiev.

The head of the regional administration on behalf of the population of the region expressed his gratitude that the leader of the nation has started his working trip with Mary region and has familiarized with implementation of the national Rural Development Program.

The khyakim reported that guided by instructions of the head of the state, the region plans to expand the acreage of fields under potatoes and gourds and vegetable at the expense of reduction of fields under cotton and increase in its yield. In this connection, the volume of vegetables and gourds produced as well as livestock production in the region will grow. 

In conclusion, the head of the local administration once again expressed his gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the state support in socio-economic development of regions, improvement of social and living conditions of people, gradual increase in productivity of work of people employed in the sphere of livestock breeding, in particular, sheep and goat breeding.

Then, having bid a farewell to the gathered, by helicopter the head of the state made a flight in the direction of gas deposit «Malaý», located in Lebap region.

During the flight, leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov enjoyed the wonderful view of Turkmen nature, vast steppe areas of the Garagum that in winter become pastures for the sheep and goats. Especially after the heavy rain, the sand landscape become more beautiful. One should note that rain humidity this time of the year is very good for cultivated areas.

In some time, the helicopter of the leader of the nation landed at the square near the gas deposit «Malaý». 

Upon his arrival, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting in which issues related to implementation of the tasks designated in the program for development of oil and gas industry of the country for 2030, modernization of gas deposit «Malaý», and increase in its production capacities were discussed.

Director of the Institute of Natural Gas of «Türkmengaz» State Concern, who by drawings and charts informed them on research activities conducted to increase in the productivity of deposits of natural gas and results of exploration and discovery of new wells, was the first to take the floor. 

The leader of the nation stated that as a result of industrial development of newly discovered gas deposits and natural gas mined from them, the volumes of gas reserves of the country grow by 126 billion cubic meters. And it is a noteworthy fact.

After industrial processing natural gas which is considered a bliss of the Turkmen land, is used in many types of industrial and construction goods, the head of the state underlined. Having taken into account the fact that polyethylene and polypropylene obtained from it are used in production of various goods, including carpets and fertilizers as well as ecologically clean motor transport fuel, Turkmen natural gas is a very valuable and important raw material in industrial manufacture.

The Chairman of “Türkmengeologiýa» State Corporation in his turn reported on the state of affairs in institutions under his supervision, in particular, geophysical and geological exploration work carried out in different parts of the country as well as their results. In this regard, a great significance is given to modernization of work of the Corporation and introduction of modern achievements of practice in its work.

Then, the Chairman of «Türkmengaz» State Concern reported that at present, work on industrial development of newly discovered deposits is carried out actively in Mary and Lebap regions.

Then, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Sh.Abdrahmanov reported on the work carried out within the framework of realization of the Program for development of oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan for 2030. On behalf of specialists of the fuel and energy complex, the Deputy-Chairman expressed his sincere gratitude to the leader of the nation for a regular control over the work of the fuel and energy complex and related support.

Summing up the results of the working meeting, held at deposit «Malaý» in Lebap region, the President of the country wished its participants sound health, family wellbeing and successes in their work for the benefit development of our fatherland.

Then, by his off-highway vehicle, the head of the state made his way to the centre of the Garagum desert. These winter days after heavy rain the flora of the vast area is very attractive. 

A careful approach to the unique eco-system of the Garagum and creation of favourable ecological conditions in its territory for steppe animals help development of sheep and goats and camel breeding, the leader of the nation notes, underlining that along with it, an opportunity for development of ecological tourism also grows.

On his way President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a halt at the herd of camels grazed here by the shepherd Aymyrat Pashshykov from peasant association “Ýeňiş” of Sayat district of Lebap region who warmly welcomed the leader of the nation there.

The President of the country having greeted the shepherd took an interest in his work, the state of the cattle, pastures and family life.

With pride, the shepherd noted that he work on a lease method and it is very profitable. The shepherd pointed out that the state creates easy terms for all workers of agriculture, including for animal breeders and on behalf of them, expressed his gratitude to the head of the state.

The leader of the nation noted that our people who have created wise sayings of camels as a symbol of wellbeing and abundance, respected and valued the camel as world treasure. The head of the state underlined that camel hair, milk, chal and agaran have been scientifically proven good for human health.

As the President of the country marked, in the course of history, camels became close friends of people. Among trade caravans, which passed along the great Silk Road, which for centuries worked as connection between epochs and generations, were numerous camels including the breed of arwana.

A.Pashshykov said that their significance is still great and care of increase in the head of arwana breed gives positive results. Adding with pride that he has made a good fortune thanks to his engagement in camel breeding. He noted that today his family members live a happy life and expressed his gratitude to the leader of the nation to this end.

The shepherd was presented with a gift on behalf of the head of the state. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressing the shepherd of camels said that he has a much-respected trade and having wished him great future success, he left the place.

Then, by helicopter, the head of the state flew in the direction of Turkmenabat city.

On December 28, 2021, during the visit of the President of Turkmenistan G.M.Berdimuhamedov to the Russian Federation to participate in an informal meeting of the Leaders of the CIS countries in St. Petersburg, there was a telephone conversation with the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, V.I.Matvienko.

During the conversation, a wide range of issues of bilateral relations in various fields was discussed. Special attention was paid to the progress of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia. In this context, the President of Turkmenistan and the Speaker of the Upper House of the Russian Parliament discussed the issues related to preparation and holding of the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of Central Asian Countries and the Russian Federation in Ashgabat in May 2022. In the course of the conversation, the President of Turkmenistan also proposed to explore the possibility of holding a meeting of the Dialogue of Women of Central Asia and Russia in Ashgabat at the same time.

It was noted that the format of the Women's Dialogue has a great future at the UN level as a platform for interaction in world politics. In this regard, the interlocutors noted the advisability of preparing a special resolution of the UN General Assembly that would emphasize the significance of the Dialogue in increasing the participation of women in state and international activities.

At the end of the conversation, the President of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on the coming New Year, wishing her good health and great successes in her state activity.

At the 15th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, held on November 28, 2021, the Heads of State and Government of the participating countries reflected their vision of the ECO's work and highlighted the unique geo-economic role of the ECO, which has a positive effect on regional cooperation.

In his speech, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the essence of interaction between the ECO Member States, united geographically, historically, as well as traditional customs and values. “Our peoples here have centuries-old traditions, valuable experience has been accumulated, which requires its revival, use and enrichment, taking into account modern realities,” President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted.

He made a special emphasis on the further intensification of trade and economic relations between the countries of this format, which is aimed at increasing the volume and diversification of trade. “In this regard, I consider it expedient to think about creating, on the principles of public-private partnership, specialized ECO business platforms, each of which, in its own direction, could purposefully work in the interests of developing and expanding trade relations between our countries,” the Head of Turkmenistan emphasized.

The idea of creating effective mechanisms to ensure stable and dynamic growth of trade and investment partnerships has been put forward. In this regard, the expediency of establishing various forms of cooperation in such segments as the production of industrial goods, agriculture, and the service sector was emphasized. In this context, the Head of state highlighted the importance of economic interaction with the use of high, primarily digital technologies, and the widespread use of electronic trading platforms.

Stating the importance of enhancing cooperation in medicine and health care, the President of Turkmenistan noted the advisability of establishing, within the framework of the ECO, systemic channels for the exchange of experience, methods and best practices in the field of combating dangerous infectious diseases. “Economic cooperation in the ECO space should be accompanied by the expansion of interaction in the cultural and humanitarian sphere,” said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

For special merits in recognizing the permanent neutrality of independent Turkmenistan, strengthening friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as taking into account the great personal contribution to the development of long-term cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, scientific, educational and cultural spheres, to award the Medal of Turkmenistan "Bitaraplyk" to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev.

Today President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokaev has arrived in Turkmenistan with a state visit.

At the International airport of the capital decorated with national flags of two friendly countries, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers S.Berdimuhamedov welcomed the head of Kazakhstan. Along the carpet path, running from the ramp of the plane, in honour of arrival of the honoured guest the Guard of honour was lined.

Accompanied by Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet S.Berdimuhamedov the honoured guest passes into the hall of governmental delegations where their conversation took place and in its course, high level of Turkmen-Kazakhstan relations having a strategic character was noted.

From the air harbour, the motorcade of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan accompanied with the escort of motorcyclists headed to the luxurious capital hotel "Oghuzkent".

… In the second half of the day, President Kassym-Jomart Tokaev visited the Akhal Teke Horse Complex of the President of Turkmenistan.

In the horse complex, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warmly welcomed the honoured guest. The leader of the nation invites his Kazakhstan colleague to see the territory of one of the horseracing centres largest in the country where there are all conditions for cultivation, education and breeding of Akhal Teke horses, their training, and conduction of representative tournaments. As "heavenly" racers, being the national property and pride of Turkmen people, personify the beauty and harmony standard born in unison with nature by creative human genius. During the present epoch, the noble Akhal Teke racer is a symbol of modern Turkmenistan - image of continuity of historical experience, triumph of high ideals, spiritualised work and vigorous aiming at development.

Here Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Kassym-Jomart Tokaev from a special observation point watched exercises of elite Akhal Teke racers.

Then the President of Turkmenistan on behalf of Turkmen people as gift to the brotherly Kazakhstan people presented the fine Akhal teke racer named Ganatly that became one brighter sign of unshakableness of relations of friendship and good neighbourhood between two countries.

In his turn, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, President of the International Association of Akhal Teke Horse Breeding, International Association of Turkmen Alabay S.Berdimuhamedov as a friendship symbol presented as gift to the Kazakhstan people a wonderful fleet-footed tazy, also being a national property of Turkmen people, nicknamed Bovser.

For this reason, a special role in the interstate dialogue is attached to interaction in the cultural-humanitarian sphere.

Predictably, within the limits of the present Ashkhabad summit talks a wide spectrum of issues, representing mutual interest will be discussed, and also the package of the important bilateral documents aimed at intensification of multidimensional cooperation, further strengthening of trust and mutual understanding between two fraternal people and states will be signed. Today in the second half of the day, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left with a two-day official visit for the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Having made a flight to Tashkent, the presidential airliner landed at the International airport named after Islam Karimov. National flags of the two friendly countries decorated the air harbour of the Uzbek capital on this significant occasion.

Along the carpet path, soldiers of the Guard of honour were lined.

At the boarding stairs of the plane, President of the Republic Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as well as members of the governmental delegation of Turkmenistan welcomed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warmly and hospitably.

On the sidelines of the forum, members of delegations of both countries marked a number of concrete steps on cooperation diversification on the most perspective directions. As was underlined, a key vector of joint work was and remains to be an establishment of direct relations between business circles of two countries, expansion and deepening of industrial cooperation, creation of joint ventures, active exchange of experience in use of the latest technological solutions and creation of innovative economy that should be promoted directly by organization of business forums, economic exhibitions, business meetings and negotiations on a regular basis.

The signing of 13 bilateral documents, including those on realisation of export-import transactions for a total sum about 13,5 million US dollars became an evidence of invariable adherence of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to centuries-old bonds of friendship and good neighbourhood, mutual interest in steady expansion and deepening of established mutually beneficial cooperation.

Participants of the Turkmen-Uzbek economic forum expressed confidence that all reached arrangements will give a new impulse to development of multi-faceted dialogue in interests of both states and their fraternal people.

On completion of the forum a number of bilateral meetings with participation of heads of separate ministries and departments, representatives of state and private structures took place.
