US Military Equipment and Military to participate in Noble Partner 2018 already in Georgia
US military equipment which was sent from Port of Constanța, Romania to participate in the multinational exercise “Noble Partner 2018” has already shipped to Georgia. US armored vehicles “Stryker”, armored vehicles “Bradley”, M1A2 Abrams tanks and other military equipment have already downloaded in Poti Port, Georgia. The part of the equipment will be transferred to Vaziani by lorry, part of it – itself by marching.
US military equipment were loaded in Port of Constanța, Romania and launched for Georgia via the Black Sea on July 22.
Military personnel of II Cavalry Regiment have already arrived to Tbilisi International Airport via air. The part of US soldiers will arrive to Georgia up to July 31 stage by stage.
The multinational exercise will officially be opened in Vaziani military airfield on August 1. “Noble Partner 2018” is a Georgian Armed Forces and US Army Europe led exercise, which intends to enhance participating nations’ readiness and interoperability.
Commissioners Hahn and Gabriel in Belarus to participate in the Eastern Partnership Informal Dialogue
Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel will be in Minsk, Belarus, on 21-22 June to participate in the 10th Eastern Partnership Informal Partnership Dialogue. They will discuss cooperation within the “20 Deliverables for 2020” following the Eastern Partnership Summit in November last year as well as how to step up cooperation in the area of digital economy with the Minsters of Foreign Affairs and Ministers in charge of the digital agenda from the six Eastern Partners -Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. On 21 June, the Commissioners will meet with Minister of Communications and Informatisation of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Popkov, to discuss ways to cooperate in the digital area and, in particular, in the area of cybersecurity resilience, and thereafter will participate in a plenary session on promoting broadband connectivity and tackling roaming tariffs in the region.
On Friday, Commissioner Hahn together with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, will take part in a plenary session on the state-of-play of the Eastern Partnership and the External Investment Plan. During his visit he will also have bilateral meetings with President of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksander Lukashenko, Mr Makei, Mr Popkov and will meet with civil society representatives from the economy and digital economy sectors. The Parliamentary Delegation to participate in NATO PA Session
On November 18-21, Istanbul will host the 62th Annual Session of NATO PA. 27 delegates of NATO member states and MPs of the NATO associated countries will participate in the international forum.
The delegates, at the Committee and plenary sessions, will discuss world security, peace-keeping missions, terrorism, political and economic issues. It is noteworthy that the spring session, 2017 of NATO PA will be held in Tbilisi on May 26-29. Georgia is the 5th non-member state hosting the NATO PA.
Thus, the Georgian Delegation will represent the video image of Georgia and hold the wine tasting during the sessions in Istanbul. The Georgian Delegation is headed by the Chair of the Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Sesiashvili.
