Georgian Vice-Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Ilir Meta.
Talking points included prospects for development of the bilateral relations between Georgia and the Republic of Albania, process of Georgia’s integration with the European and Euro-Atlantic structures and security environment in the region. Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked Albania for the strong support and expressed the hope that bilateral relations will enhance in the future as well. Ilir Meta, in turn, reaffirmed his Government’s unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and wished the Georgian side success in the process of integration with the European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
Ilir Meta is on his visit to Georgia from 13th to 16th September to hold meetings with representatives of the executive and legislative branches and to participate in the Conference of the Open Government Partnership`s Legislative Openness Working Group organised by the Parliament of Georgia.
