On Sunday, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Director General of the Foreign Service of the US Department of State Carol Perez and First Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Dean Thompson. The meeting was attended by US Ambassador Matthew Stephen Klimow.
According to the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the meeting discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, touched upon regional and global issues, including climate change, on the topic of which the parties called for more active interaction.
The diplomats substantively discussed the state and prospects of trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and the United States, noting the role of the Turkmen-American Business Council.
On May 11, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a meeting with the diplomat from the United Arab Emirates, Ambassador Mohamed Saeed Mohamed Al Ariki.
During the meeting, the parties discussed important aspects of bilateral cooperation in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Having underlined the need to prepare the conforming materials, the sides discussed the issues of preparation and holding the next meeting of the Joint Committee for Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates, which is scheduled to take place during current 2022 year in Abu-Dhabi.

Emphasizing the strategic nature of interstate cooperation in the political, trade-economic, energy, transport-communication, scientific-technical, cultural-humanitarian and other fields, the interlocutors stated the importance of strengthening the role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Azerbaijani Commission on Economic Cooperation as a coordinating body for the development of relations in various directions.
Particular attention was paid at the meeting to the issues of using the favorable geographical position of the two neighboring states, which creates favorable prerequisites for the effective addition of efforts in the implementation of projects to form transcontinental transit and transport corridors that provide optimally advantageous land and sea routes for transporting goods, and their integration into the international transport infrastructure.
A separate emphasis was placed on the importance of building up cooperation in the energy sector, which is strategic for the national economies of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
At the end of the meeting, confidence was expressed that Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations would continue to be strengthened on a long-term and constructive basis, filled with new content.

Warmly greeting each other, the heads of states exchanged congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Oraza Bayram (Eid al-Fitr), expressing confidence that this bright holiday will further develop fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples, as well as strengthen the atmosphere of friendship, mutual support and solidarity in the entire Muslim community. .
In continuation of the telephone conversation, having noted with satisfaction the progressive, dynamic nature of the interstate dialogue, the interlocutors exchanged views on priority areas of multifaceted bilateral cooperation built on the principles of mutual respect, trust, long-term and close partnership.
In this context, it was noted that this year is marked for Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey by the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Over the past period, constructive political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties have been established between our countries. On Wednesday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the exhibition of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, which takes place in Ashgabat and reflects almost all areas of activity in the private sector of the country's economy.
The head of state came to personally get acquainted with the exposition of enterprises and organizations of the UIET, and this became a sign of close attention on the part of the top leadership to the successes and prospects of domestic business in solving the problems of national development. Visiting the exhibition, the president stopped at some stands, asked manufacturers about the products presented, the organizational side of the matter.
In particular, in the food sector, Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the environmental friendliness of food products and their competitiveness in foreign markets, innovative methods used in processing enterprises. The President also examined the stands of industrial companies, including those specializing in the electronic segment, paying attention to new types of goods and import substitution. The Turkmen leader also spoke with a well-known carpet weaver-entrepreneur in the country, who presents magnificent carpet products at the exhibition.

On 12 April 2022, with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia, an international scientific-practical online conference "The Way to the Heart" was held to mark World Health Day widely celebrated in Turkmenistan.
The conference was organized by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Silk Road Heart Rhythm Society and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.
The conference was attended by leading health professionals from Turkmenistan, Georgia and the USA. During the conference, innovative treatment methods in interventional cardiology and arrhythmology were considered. The participants discussed modern technologies, methods of diagnostics and treatment of arrhythmias, heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases.
At the end of the conference, the Turkmen and Georgian experts expressed their desire to further deepen and broaden cooperation in this field.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of Turkmenistan convened a workshop in a hybrid format on the Constitution of Turkmenistan as the guarantor of human rights and freedoms. The event gathered representatives of a number of government agencies including Milli Gengesh, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecutor`s Office, Judicial system, as well as civil society organizations from Mary, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap velayats and Ashgabat city.
This workshop dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution Day of Turkmenistan and 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's membership in the United Nations is organized in the framework of the three-year UNDP project: "Assistance in the realization of the National Action Plan of Turkmenistan in the field of human rights for 2021-2025" implemented jointly with the Institute of State, Law, and Democracy of Turkmenistan.
“I would especially like to emphasize that the Constitution of Turkmenistan - the supreme law of the country contains the fundamental principles and concepts of human rights reflected in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.” - noted during the meeting Mr. Rovshen Nurmuhammedov, UNDP Assistant Resident Representative in Turkmenistan.
The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the importance of the Constitution for the protection, observance and promotion of human rights, and effective public administration using national and international mechanisms for the protection and promotion of human rights. During the workshop speakers also presented an overview of modern trends and concepts of human rights education and the role of public associations in ensuring human rights in Turkmenistan. The objectives of the workshop will contribute to the efforts of the country to comply with its international human rights obligations and implementing recommendations of human rights treaty bodies, including the recommendations of the third cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) within the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
