The Georgian Foreign Minister and the newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Israel to Georgia underlined the traditionally historic friendship between Georgia and Israel and focused on the existing potential of co-operation towards the economic, cultural and other sectoral directions.
Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze held an introductory meeting with newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Georgia Shabtai Tzur.
Discussions focused on bilateral relations and future prospects, on the increasing dynamics and importance of the high-level bilateral visits, as well as on the intensification of the sectoral co-operation.
The two sides expressed their readiness to make maximum use of a great potential of co-operation development in the spheres of economy, culture, tourism and agriculture.
Shabtai Tzur reaffirmed Israel’s support for Georgia and expressed the readiness to promote the enhancement of the historic friendly relations between the two countries.
The Foreign Minister wished the newly appointed Ambassador success in his future activities.
