In line with the Resolution adopted at the plenary session, MPs defined the main and reserve staffs of the Parliamentary Delegations. The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee was assigned to define the proportional representative quotes of the Delegations.
The Chair, Giorgi Kakhiani introduced the number of representative quotation and spoke about the mandates distributed in line with the respective principle amongst all 10 Delegations. The main staffs are defined with 53 and reserve staffs are defined with 43 members:
“Georgian Dream” Main – 38, Reserve – 30;
“Georgian Dream-Industrials” Main – 2, Reserve – 2;
“United National Movement” Main – 8, Reserve – 7;
“National Movement – for Georgia’s Progress” Main – 2, Reserve – 2;
“Patriots of Georgia” Main – 2, Reserve – 2;
Non-Faction MPs, Main – 1.
According to G. Kakhiani, the quotes will be submitted to the Bureau for endorsement and then to the political groups to nominate concrete MPs for the quotes.
The Committee considered with the III reading the draft by Adjara AR Supreme Council on Lobbyist Activity. The draft aims at creation of the respective legislative base in Adjara and Abkhazia AR Supreme Representative Bodies for lobbyist activity.
According to sub-paragraph “b”, article 2 of the current edition of the law on Lobbyist Activity, the term “representative body” concludes the Parliament and Municipal representative body solely and as the initiator stated, it would be expedient to add “AR Supreme Council”.
The draft envisages changes to the articles 5, 9 and 13 concerning technical and procedural issues of lobbyist activity. The Committee supported the draft with the III reading.
