Ilia Darchiashvili has met with Jens Stoltenberg
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, met with the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, within the framework of the meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
At the meeting, the Minister thanked the Alliance for inviting partner countries, including Georgia, to the NATO Ministerial Meeting , which is yet another demonstration of the Alliance's support for Georgia. The sides highlighted the Secretary-General's personal support for Georgia and its Euro-Atlantic integration, and the importance of ensuring the Alliance's continued and strong support in this process. The sides reaffirmed their commitment to cooperate intensely in the future. During his first meeting with the NATO Secretary General, the sides also exchanged views on the security environment in the region.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia will hold meetings at the European Union and NATO
At the invitation of the North Atlantic Alliance, the Foreign Minister will take part in the meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
The Foreign Ministers of NATO’s partner nations (Australia, Finland, Georgia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Sweden and Ukraine), as well as the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy will join a NATO session to be held within the framework of the NAC Meeting.
On the sidelines of the Foreign Ministerial Meeting, Ilia Darchiashvili will hold meetings with his colleague ministers.

GLOBALink | NATO approves deployment of four new battle groups
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) approved on Thursday the deployment of four new battle groups in the eastern part of the alliance, including Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, declared Jens Stoltenberg, NATO's secretary general during a press briefing.
In total, there will now be eight NATO battle groups deployed along the eastern flank of the alliance, from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea.
The organization's heads of states were called for an extraordinary meeting to discuss further support for Ukraine, in the context of the Russia-Ukraine conflict that started exactly one month ago.
Meanwhile, Stoltenberg said that the alliance's top military commander has activated NATO's chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense elements and allies are deploying additional chemical and biological and nuclear defenses.

Irakli Garibashvili’s meeting with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Intelligence and Security
Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili held a meeting with David Kettler, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Intelligence and Security.
The conversation focused on NATO-Georgia cooperation and the military action in Ukraine affecting the security situation in Eastern Europe, with emphasis on the importance of the international community's maximal effort toward ending the war as soon as possible.
The meeting underlined the successful development of practical cooperation between NATO and Georgia, also pointing out that it is important to further this partnership in order to modernize Georgia's Defense Forces and bolster the country's defense-capability.
The meeting was attended by Colonel Kaupo Rosin, Head of the NATO Liaison Office Alexander Vinnikov, and Georgia's Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze.

The Final Coordination Conference of NATO-Georgia Exercise 2022
Georgia will host „NATO-Georgia Exercise 2022“ for the third time in March. From planning to execution phase the joint NATO-Georgia exercise will be led by the Georgian side. The exercise will be comprised of NATO member and partner countries.
Representatives of NATO member and partner countries along with the Georgian counterparts summarized the final details during the three-day Final Coordination Conference of the „NATO-Georgia Exercise 2022“at the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC) in Krtsanisi. NATO Joint Forces Training Center (JFTC) Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff Brigadier General Jozsef Szpisjak and LTC Gabor Endrodi attended the Final Coordination Conference. In the framework of the visit, representatives of JFTC held working meetings with the Deputy Chiefs of the Georgian Defence Forces, Major General Zaza Chkhaidze and Brigade General Irakli Chichinadze. The sides talked about the details of „NATO-Georgia Exercise 2022“ and discussed future plans of cooperation.
“NATO-Georgia Exercise 2022” will take place at the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC), Krtsanisi. Military personnel of more than 20 NATO member and partner countries will take part in the exercise. The participants will improve skills in planning NATO operations through Computer Assisted, Command Post Exercise (CAX/CPX). The exercise is implemented under the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP) and is aimed at further developing the interoperability of Georgian, Allied and Partner Forces, as well as Georgian command and control capabilities.

BORDER POLICE LIEUTENANT COMPLETED A ONE-YEAR NAVY OFFICER’S COURSE AT THE BRITANNIA ROYAL NAVAL COLLEGE
Lieutenant Ruslan Dolidze, Senior Inspector of the Boarding Team of the MIA Border Police Coast Guard Department, successfully completed a one-year Navy Officer’s Course at the Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC).
The graduation ceremony, held in Dartmouth, was attended by Prince Charles, Prince of Wales.
From the Georgian side, the Director of the Border Police Coast Guard Department, CAPT Ramaz Papidze attended the graduation ceremony. CAPT Papidze congratulated the Coast Guard Officer on the successful completion of the course and wished him success in his career.
Within the framework of his visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Director of the Coast Guard Department held various working meetings. CAPT Papidze met with the Deputy Commander for NATO Maritime Command (MARCOM), Vice Admiral Didier Piaton, Commander of the Britannia Royal Naval College, CAPT Roger Readwin, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Sophie Katsarava.

The conversation focused on the ongoing European security talks between Russia and NATO allies.
According to the NATO Deputy Secretary General, the Russian Federation’s proposals regarding the so-called "security guarantees" contain provisions that contradict the fundamental principles and values of NATO and any attempt of the third country to interfere in the foreign and security policy of the sovereign states is inadmissible.
The sides agreed to continue active consultations through diplomatic channels and to coordinate their positions on the abovesaid issues.
