Georgian MIA revealed two persons in illegal fishing in Lagodekhi redion. These persons are Ioseb Ts. – date of birth: 1979 and Davit K. – date of birth: 1987 in the fact of illegal catching of fish.
Ioseb Ts. and Davit K. were revealed in Chaduniani village, Lagodekhi region while they caught fish via prohibited instruments. 4 kilograms and 800 grams of various types of fish and electroshock device was seized by police as the evidence. Both accused persons pleaded guilty.
The investigation is underway over the fact of mass slaughter of fish via prohibited instruments.
Georgian police found lost child. On August 29, the Rustavi City Division received the notification from the parents of 14 years old David L about disappearance of their son. Police rendered the prompt response to the incident and produced the investigative case of the missing person. The searching activities were initiated throughout the country; all the people who had communication with the lost minor were interrogated.
The law enforcers, as a result of the searching measures have found David L today in the vicinity of Tbilisi Sea; the minor was brought to Rustavi City Division and passed to his parents safe and sound under the receipt.
The officers of the Detectives Division of Tbilisi Main Division and Isani-Samgori Division of the MIA, as a result of joint operative-searching and investigative activities, detained Agil K. – D.o.B.: 1989 in Ponichala for premeditated murder.
The investigation showed that the detainee during quarrel deadly injured in chest by a firearm Usal G. – D.o.B.: 1998, who died before bringing to a hospital. Agir K disappeared from the scene.
As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, the law enforcers detained the accused in Ponichala. The firearm was seized as evidence.
Detainee pleaded guilty.

The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division of the MIA, as a result of operative-investigative activities, detained David Ts. – D.o.B.: 1977 – in Bandza village, Martvili region for illicit sowing, growing or cultivating of plant containing narcotics and illicit purchase, keeping, of drugs in especially a large quantity.
The law enforcers seized 9 roots of cannabis during the search of the storeroom of the detainee’s house; the expertise showed the seized substance weighed
3 kilograms and 195 grams. Also there was seized 432.30 grams of dried marijuana and 15 roots of dried cannabis weighed 1 kilo and 495 grams. The accused pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress over the fact of illicit sowing, growing or cultivating of plant containing narcotics and illicit purchase, keeping, of drugs in especially a large quantity (sub clause “a” of the 3rdpart of the article 260; sub clause "a" of the 3rd part of the article 265, Criminal Code of Georgia).
The officers of Senaki police division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of the operative information detained previously convicted Varlam G. (DoB 1955) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized 28 pills of subutex drug. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.

The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department detained person wanted worldwide - Georgian national and the citizen of Netherlands Levan B. (DoB 1993). The mentioned person was wanted by the Hague Interpol from 2014 for stealing committed under violence, stealing committed under aggravated circumstances and extortion.
In July 12, 2012 Levan B. along with accomplices attacked Dutch citizen and appropriated citizen’s credit cards, jewelry, mobile phones, antique watch and 1250 EU under the threats and violence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Levan B. is placed at temporary detention isolator, while pre-extradition procedures are underway against him.
Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and acting head of the Border Police Zurab Gamezardashvili along with Nicholas Berliner United States Charge d’Affaires attended the solemn ceremony dedicated to the opening of the Coast Guard Boat Basin in Batumi.
Contemporary strategic object- Coast Guard Boat Basin was constructed with the support of the US Embassy and is aimed at enhancing coast guard capacities and maritime safety of the country. Boat basin is equipped with contemporary technic and was built in full compliance with the existing international standards. To enhance the efficiency of the Coast Guard, the Border Police was granted a modernized patrol boat “P-103” which was named after Batumi.
Invited guests were addressed by the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Nicholas Berliner United States Charge d’Affaires, Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and acting head of the Border Police, General-Major Zurab Gamezardashvili and deputy chief of DTRA Defense and Threat Reduction Agency John Horner.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the representatives of the executive and legislative branches of the Georgian government as well as by the head of diplomatic missions accredited in Georgia.
Based on the relevant order of the Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili awarded Deputy Director of DTRA John Horner with medal for “Exceptional Merits” as well as Deputy Chief of DTRA Eurasia office Vice-Colonel Christopher Floyed and Paata Enukidze Program coordinator at DTRA Eurasia office as well as DTRA representative Don Brown and Elizabeth Dufrane.
After the ceremony guests visited newly constructed Coast Guard Boat Basin and sailed into the sea by the new patrol boat.
Investigation established that Giorgi P. purchased two “Gloc” pistols in one of the stores located in Tbilisi and registered firearms on his name with permit of keeping. Lately he ilegally soled the mentioned firearms to Giorgi G. -each for 1500 GEL with a previous concent.
During the searching activities held in Giorgi G’s house and vehicle, police seized 3 bullets, while from Arbo village cemetary law enforcers seized 2 unregistered pistols, which had been ilegally purchased.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and selling of firearms, article 236, II, III and IV parts of the Criminal Code.
On September 1, 014 Law "On Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons" was enacted based on which Ministry of Internal Affairs has been determined as responsible agency for the fight against illegal migration. In particular Migration Department of MIA is responsible for the identification of illegal migrants in the country without any legal basis, the arrest and expulsion.
On the basis of the mentioned law period till July 1 of the current year has been determined as the grace period during which foreign nationals in Georgia without legal grounds had an opportunity to gain legal status without leaving the state.
During the grace period Migration Department in collaboration with the relevant agencies informed foreign nationals on how to settle the issue with documents without leaving the country.
Beginning from July 1, 2015 after full implementation of the law Migration Department as a result of the special activities exposed 3 foreign citizens: citizen of Uzbekistan E.T. (DoB 16.12.1971), citizen of Islamic State of Iran H.D.K. (DoB 26.02.1966) and citizen of the federal Republic of Nigeria O.J.J. (DoB 02.10.1988) without had no legal status in Georgia.
Based on the petition of the Migration Department, Batumi civil Court Administrative Board decided to expel Uzbek citizen E. T. from Georgia back to Uzbekistan. E.T. was given 20 days to leave the country voluntarily. E.T. did not use the mentioned right which is why Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted the forced expulsion procedure to Uzbekistan. The mentioned person is prohibited from crossing Georgian state border for the term of five years.
It was also established that the citizen of Islamic State of Iran H.D.K was in Georgia without legal grounds and convicted in Georgia as well. Mtskheta Regioal Court decided to place the mentioned person at migrants’ accommodation center for three months. On the basis of the petition of the Migration Department Tbilisi civil court administrative board decided to expel H.D.K. to Islamic State of Iran. H.D.K. was given 10 days to leave the country voluntarily. The mentioned person is prohibited from crossing Georgian state border for the term of five years.
Regarding the citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria O.J.J. Tbilisi civil court decided to place the mentioned person at migrants’ accommodation center for three months, while Migration Department made a decision to expel O.J.J. to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. H.D.K. was given 10 days to leave the country voluntarily.
The officers of Kakheti Regional Main Division as a result of immediate operative-investigative activities detained Giorgi Tch. (DoB 199) for premeditated murder.
Investigation established that detainee inflicted injuries to Zakaria Z. 9DoB 1980 with a cold steel on the basis of conflict and left the place of incident which took place in Saniore village, Telavi. The victim died shortly after he was transferred to the hospital.
As a result of immediate operative-investigative activities Giorgi J. was detained several hours later in Pshavela village, Telavi, the weapon of murder was seized by police as evidence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
