Only the way of coming to power is through the ballot box, all other methods are illegal –this statement made the US Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly.
According to him, all of us should highlight free and fair election process. All the right should be protected.
“Only the way of coming to power is through the ballot box, all other methods are illegal,”-he said. According to Ian Kelly, any kind of intimidation of the political parties or the government is totally unacceptable.

“US support Georgia’s Euro Atlantic way and helps development of this country. Georgia should stop Russian aggression and it needs US support. It is shameful to arrange the so-called borders in the world which is modern – this statement was made by the US Ambassador to Georgia. According to Ian Kelly, Washington does not recognize the so-called borders and it respects territorial unite of Georgia.
The Ambassador made the comment in response to the closure of the administrative border by the occupied Tskhinvali region.

“We know that US Secretary of State John Kerry visited Georgia a few days ago. One of the main massages was that we all support Georgia to become the member state of NATO. “He is critical to Nika Gvaramia. He is quite sincere. USA is the main partner of us and Ian Kelly assesses the situation in the point of view of his country. We had same polemic yesterday and I don’t agree with him but I see that he wants our country to develop in the right way,”-Bidzina Ivanishvili said.

"The appeal process is still going on, and as the process is not over, I specifically can’t comment yet. But I gave repeatedly said that this is an election year and it is mostly important elections to be held in democratic environment. All the voters should have access to media and should have right of free expression. That's a priority for us to hold fair elections and a free and fair media environment is essential,”-Ian Kelly said.

US wants to see that Georgia is becoming democratic country – this statement was made by the Ambassador of US to Georgia, Ian Kelly. According to him, the main priority of US is to see that Georgia succeeded and is becoming independent, democratic state. Ian Kelly said that the election year is important too.
