The court sentenced the accused to 10 years of incarceration for the murder of former spouse
The Tbilisi City Court fully acknowledged the evidence presented by the prosecuting side and for premeditated murder of the former spouse found the accused Marina Dudaeva guilty in accordance with chapter 111 article 108 of the Georgian Criminal Justice Code.
During the court hearing it was confirmed by the evidence that in the period from 2007 until 2010 Marina Dudaeva was in unregistered marriage with Archil Bologhashvili. On January 7 of the current year, Marina Dudaeva and Archil Bologhashvili met each other in Tbilisi in the house of the latter located on Kindzmarauli Street, there they drank some alcohol as a result of what at approximately 21:00 they visited their friend Zurab Kh. While they were visiting their friend, Archil Bologhashvili was perusing through the information on the mobile telephone of Marina Dudaeva, which caused the upsetting of the latter. During the conflict caused by the above mentioned reason, Marina Dudaeva stabbed her former spouse twice with the knife in the area of the heart and chest with the motif of revenge and with the aim of killing the latter. Archil Bologhashvili died from the received injuries.
Law enforcement employees detained Marina Dudaeva on January 8, 2016 after several hours of the incident.
Tbilisi City Court’s Criminal Case Panel found Marina Dudaeva guilty in accordance with chapter 111 article 108 of the Georgian Criminal Justice Code and as punishment sentenced her to 10 years of prison.
