On July 26, 2022, an international conference "Afghanistan: Security and Economic Development" was held in Tashkent. The forum was attended by official delegations, scientists and researchers, heads and experts of leading analytical centers of the neighboring states of Afghanistan, including from all countries of Central Asia, Russia, the USA, Iran, Pakistan, India and Belgium, heads and specialists of a number of international and regional organizations, including the UN, the EU, the OIC, the SCO, as well as the delegation of the Interim Government of Afghanistan.
The conference participants expressed their understanding that today the main priority should be the revival and strengthening of the Afghan economy as an important factor in achieving lasting peace in this country, and reaffirmed their commitment to its formation as a peaceful, indivisible, independent, economically developing state, free from terrorism and drug crime.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan V. Hajyiev noted in his speech that the Turkmen side is interested in the reconstruction of Afghanistan, its integration into world economic relations, and infrastructure development. It is these factors that will have a positive impact on ensuring the security and stability of both the country itself and the region as a whole.
He also stated that for Turkmenistan, the process of peacebuilding in Afghanistan is based on the unity of three key areas: political, economic and social-humanitarian.
In the political dimension, he stressed, Turkmenistan calls on all interested states and international organizations to develop a dialogue with the new Afghan authorities. V. Hajyiev also drew attention to the importance of developing cooperation with Afghan companies, continuing the implementation of international economic projects that have been launched. In addition, the need to provide regular humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people in order to prevent the threat of a humanitarian crisis was noted.
Readiness was expressed at the forum to continue the coordination of international efforts and joint work to promote the post-conflict reconstruction of Afghanistan and its integration into the world community.
A humanitarian cargo sent from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan in connection with the devastating earthquake that occurred recently in the Afghan provinces of Khost and Paktika arrived in Kabul today.
This action was carried out in accordance with the Order of the President of Turkmenistan, who immediately responded to the natural disaster that befell the fraternal people.
Turkmenistan sent 24,700 tons of cargo, including food, medicines, hygiene products, household essentials.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a delegation of Turkmenistan to China, the city of Huangshan, to participate in the third meeting of foreign ministers of neighboring countries of Afghanistan. According to the order signed by him, the delegation was sent on a business trip for the period of March 29-31.
In Huangshan, representatives of Turkmenistan will also take part in the Dialogue "Neighbors of Afghanistan + Afghanistan".

Today, on January 8, the delegation of Turkmenistan held a series of meetings in the government of Afghanistan. In particular, meetings were held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Afghanistan Abdul Salam Hanafi, with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, with the Minister of Mines and Petroleum Shahabuddin Delawar, and with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Mawlawi Sadar Azam.

During the current meeting, the readiness of the Turkmen side, as a neighboring and neutral state, to promote establishment of a relevant dialogue and create conditions for the soonest establishment of peace, harmony and unity in Afghanistan was once again emphasized.
The Afghan side expressed special gratitude to the leadership and people of Turkmenistan, who provide regular support to the neighboring country.
Today, On December 14, a humanitarian cargo of food, textile and household goods, as well as oil products was delivered from Turkmenistan to neighboring Afghanistan.
As is known, during the extended meeting of the Government on December 10 of this year, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has signed the Order on sending humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. This document was signed "with a view to assist neighboring Afghanistan on a systematic and regular basis and to provide an all-round support in economic, social and humanitarian spheres" the Order says.
In accordance with the document, today, Turkmen side provided humanitarian aid to the brotherly Afghan people, which consists of 1,200 tons of various goods, in particular, textile products, food products, as well as 20 rail tankers of oil products made in TThe present ceremony of delivery of the humanitarian aid was attended by a representative delegation from Turkmenistan. From the Afghan side, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, Governor of Herat Province Noor Ahmad Islamjar and other high-ranking officials from various Afghan agencies attended the ceremony.
It is important to note that neutral Turkmenistan systematically provides comprehensive support for the social and economic revival of the neighboring country, and has always advocated a position to resolve the situation in Afghanistan solely by peaceful political and diplomatic means.
After the end of the ceremony of the humanitarian aid, the sadakas had been given in the new mosque of the town Aqina which was built with the assistance of the Turkmen side and in the township of Turghundi.
Some 500 tonnes of food and clothing donated by China have arrived in Afghanistan's border city of Hairatan, northern Balkh province.
A total of 27 containers packed with 500 tonnes of food and clothing entered Afghanistan via the Hairatan port on Thursday and Friday. The supplies will be delivered to different provinces and will be distributed among the needy people, Abdul Matin Sayyed from the provincial customs office told Xinhua.
The supplies were part of the 1,000 tonnes of food and clothing aid to Afghanistan and the remaining is expected to arrive via the same port soon.

On November 16, 2021, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan a briefing was organized which was dedicated to the results of the visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Turkey where the Leader of Turkmenistan took part at the Eighth Summitof the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council), as well as to the issues of the preparation to the Summit of the Heads of the Member-States of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) under the chair of Turkmenistan, which is to take place on November 28 of the current year.
Heads and representatives of the local media and foreign journalists accredited in Turkmenistan took part at the press-briefing. Representatives of foreign mass media from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, India, United Arab Emirates, France, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, Romania, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Ukraine also participated to the briefing by videoconferencing.
