The meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries-neighbors of Afghanistan took place
On the 8th of September 2021, the meetingof Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries-neighbors of Afghanistan was held in the videoconference format. The meeting was organized on the initiative of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
These consultations were also attended by the heads of the foreign policy agencies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev expressed the vision of the Turkmen side on the issues of currents events in the neighboring country and in the whole region.
“The current meeting is regarded as an opportunity to work out a consolidated regional approach to peace and security in Afghanistan and the further comprehensive development of this country” was underlined in the speech of the Turkmen side.
On the outcome of the talks the parties adopted Joint Statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of countries-neighbors of Afghanistan.
Presentation of XIII volume of work of the head of the state «Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan»
The edition of the XIII volume of the book «Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan» which presentation has taken place today in the conference hall of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry became a remarkable gift of the leader of the nation to Turkmen physicians for their professional holiday, all our people and world scientific community.
The encyclopaedic work of the President of Turkmenistan, the academician of the Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is designated for a wide range of readers, the interested in the rich flora of our country and ancient traditions of national medicine.
Heads and leading experts of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, its profile establishments, representatives of other ministries and sectoral departments, public organisations, the mass media and the student youth took part in the solemn ceremony of presentation of the new edition.
Speakers underlined the special importance of the new volume, which is the continuation of the fundamental scientific work, over which the leader of the nation started to work in 2009.
In the basis of this large scale, scientific research the best experience transferred from generation to generation, experience of treatment of both outstanding scientists-founders of medicine of the East and the Turkmen doctors-healers constantly referring to «natural drugstore».
On the book’s pages, it is possible to find the detailed description of curative properties of herbs, including endemics, possibilities of their use in scientific and national medicine. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has devoted to their deep study many years of his life.
Participants of the presentation underlined that the unique encyclopaedia is a real treasure of knowledge of curative properties of plants growing in the Turkmen land and used throughout centuries for efficient treatment of various illnesses.
With the academic accuracy, the head of the state acquaints readers with the cultivated and wild plants. Under the uniform scheme their photos, description, biological features, distribution area, natural stocks, medicinal raw materials, chemical compound, ways of preparation and use is provided.
Representing the original encyclopaedia of the Turkmen flora, the book «Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan» became for these years the invaluable guide on herbal medicine not only for domestic pharmacologists and physicians, but also for the foreign experts having possibility to familiarise with it thanks to its translation into many languages.
The next volume of the scientific work of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, like the previous ones, was published in mass print run. A wonderful addition to the contents are colourful photos of picturesque corners of our country, the Russian-Latin-Turkmen dictionary of names of plants and calendar of gathering of medicinal raw materials.
The presented short review on development and reached successes of domestic public health services during the prosperous epoch of the powerful state testifies to the large scale of grandiose transformations occurring in the system of health protection within the limits of the Government program «Saglyk» developed and realised under the wise leadership of the head of the nation.
Participants of the celebration prepared the Message to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in which they expressed their deep gratitude for the huge attention given to health protection of Turkmen nationals and for the created conditions for their happy and peaceful life.
THE LEADER OF THE NATION TOOK PART IN THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE NATIONAL DAY OF TURKMENISTAN AT THE WORLD EXPO 2020
On October 9, 2021, with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the opening ceremony of the National Day of Turkmenistan was held at the World EXPO 2020, which is taking place in Dubai.
UAE officials warmly welcomed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the airport in Dubai.
As part of the working visit, the President of Turkmenistan held a number of high-level bilateral meetings. In particular, at the Al Maktoum International Airport, the President of Turkmenistan met with Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy of the United Arab Emirates.
Emphasizing the high level of Turkmen-Emirati relations, the sides noted the effectiveness of the two countries in energy, gas chemistry and other prospective areas of cooperation. It was particularly noted that the bilateral and multilateral partnership of Turkmenistan and the UAE in these fields is developing successfully.
Then the motorcade of the President of Turkmenistan headed to the Expo 2020 pavilions. As is known, the current world exhibition in the Middle East region promotes the universal unification of different countries and peoples for the sake of global development.
The opening ceremony of the National Day of Turkmenistan was held on the central square of the expo center, Al Wasl, accompanied by the anthems of two countries - Turkmenistan and the UAE. Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, also attended the ceremony.
The President of Turkmenistan, together with high-ranking UAE officials, toured the Turkmen pavilion, where Turkmenistan's achievements in all key areas of the national economy were presented. The National Pavilion of Turkmenistan, located in the Mobility Zone, is one of the distinctive pavilions of Expo 2020 Dubai, operating under the slogan "Journey to Culture with Akhal-Teke Horses". The interior exhibit of the show is comprehensively devoted to the theme of the country's participation.
While viewing the national pavilion, participants were shown a video demonstrating the achievements of Turkmenistan in the field of transport, construction, healthcare, sports and culture. The head of state extensively familiarized the participants with the advanced directions of development of the country and the high indicators achieved by Turkmenistan during the years of independence.
The leader of the nation also visited the United Arab Emirates pavilion showcasing the UAE's advanced development trends.
At the end of the tour, the head of state headed to the Reception Center of the World Expo 2020.
Here, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held talks with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting, the sides emphasized the constructive nature of the traditional friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates, which are being steadily promoted to a new, higher level based on principles of mutual respect and support.
The sides also discussed bilateral relations in various fields of mutually beneficial partnership, particularly in economy, investment and development in the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
Furthermore, following the talks, a solid package of bilateral documents covering a wide range of issues of multifaceted partnership between Turkmenistan and the UAE was signed.
The Turkmen-Uzbek Economic Forum was held in the capital of Uzbekistan
The Turkmen-Uzbek Economic Forum was held in Tashkent within the framework of the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan.
The leaders and representatives of the key economic ministries and departments, as well as business of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan discussed the issues on investment to industry, power energy, agriculture and transport sector of two countries-neighbors.
During the economic forum the bilateral meetings of the representatives of delegations of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were held, in the course of which the specific investment projects and areas of the bilateral cooperation in the economic sector were discussed.
The signing ceremony of the bilateral documents also took place within the Turkmen-Uzbek Economic Forum.
The official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan has started
Today in the second half of the day, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left with a two-day official visit for the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Having made a flight to Tashkent, the presidential airliner landed at the International airport named after Islam Karimov. National flags of the two friendly countries decorated the air harbour of the Uzbek capital on this significant occasion.
Along the carpet path, soldiers of the Guard of honour were lined.
At the boarding stairs of the plane, President of the Republic Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as well as members of the governmental delegation of Turkmenistan welcomed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warmly and hospitably.
According to the established noble tradition of hospitality, children in national costumes met the honoured guest.
Then the motorcade of Turkmen and Uzbek leaders from the airport headed towards the Monument of Independence and Humanism located on the Square of Independence.
The monument symbolising statehood, sovereignty and aspiration of Uzbek people to prosperity, is one of the main sights of modern Tashkent.
On the massive granite cenotaph, a globe with an engraved contour of Uzbekistan towers. Before the pedestal one more monument «Happy mother» - a female sculpture holding on her hands a child stands. This deeply substantial image testifies to succession of generations, solicitous attitude to centuries-old national traditions and cultural wealth, which nowadays provide unity and consolidation of Uzbek people.

Tomorrow - on October 5- the Turkmen-Uzbek summit talks in which course Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev will outline approaches of the parties to the further formulation of mutually beneficial cooperation, will take place, to create possibilities for the fullest realisation of available potential.
Today Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are uniform in their aspiration to assist positive development of regional processes, strengthening of all-round relations between the states of Central Asia, establishment of stable peace, stability and security, promoting general progress and prosperity in the region.
As known, adjustment of close, full-scale interaction with the closest neighbouring states was and remains the major priority of the foreign policy doctrine of Turkmenistan, successfully following the course of a constructive international dialogue in general interests.
Thus, the present official visit of the head of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan urged to become a major landmark in the history of the centuries-old Turkmen -Uzbek relations based on age-old, indestructible traditions of friendship and good neighbourhood.
The Turkmen-Uzbek economic forum held today in Tashkent in the capital Yashnabad Innovation Technopark- a huge modern complex where innovative projects are carried out, became a business prologue to the bilateral top-level talks planned for tomorrow, scientific developments and researches in the most different areas.
Cars and the agricultural machinery, which have already well proved themselves in the soil-environmental conditions of Turkmenistan and are made in Uzbekistan, displayed on the outdoor platform were shown to members of the delegation of our country. In the building, a wide assortment of production of Uzbek manufacturers using a great consumer demand in the country and abroad was also presented.
Special video clips on successes and achievements of key economic branches of Turkmen economy, priorities of strategy of construction realised by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov prospering and advanced in every respect of the state with strong economy and steadily growing well-being of people were shown to the Uzbek party.
The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan widely was displayed as well. As known, in the economic strategy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the national private sector is assigned a part as one of the backbone factors in national economy industrialisation, manufacture export-focused and import replacing production.
The state renders big, effective support to the private businessmen, involving representatives of small and medium business in formation of innovative economy that directly promotes increase of competitiveness of Turkmen goods in the internal and external markets.
Today members of UIET take an active part in realisation of large-scale town-planning projects, putting into practice advanced solutions. As an example for it, one can cite construction of new projects of different designations an integral component of which are high innovative technologies and know-how, steadily expanding borders of white marble coated Ashkhabad and also Avaza national tourist zone and other regions of the country.
On the sidelines of the forum, members of delegations of both countries marked a number of concrete steps on cooperation diversification on the most perspective directions. As was underlined, a key vector of joint work was and remains to be an establishment of direct relations between business circles of two countries, expansion and deepening of industrial cooperation, creation of joint ventures, active exchange of experience in use of the latest technological solutions and creation of innovative economy that should be promoted directly by organization of business forums, economic exhibitions, business meetings and negotiations on a regular basis.
The signing of 13 bilateral documents, including those on realisation of export-import transactions for a total sum about 13,5 million US dollars became an evidence of invariable adherence of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to centuries-old bonds of friendship and good neighbourhood, mutual interest in steady expansion and deepening of established mutually beneficial cooperation.
Participants of the Turkmen-Uzbek economic forum expressed confidence that all reached arrangements will give a new impulse to development of multi-faceted dialogue in interests of both states and their fraternal people.
On completion of the forum a number of bilateral meetings with participation of heads of separate ministries and departments, representatives of state and private structures took place.
Heads of foreign affairs agencies of Turkmenistan and the FRG discussed the issues of bilateral collaboration
Today, on September 14, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Heiko Maas.
Minister on behalf of the Government of Germany expressed deep gratitude to Turkmenistan for cooperation in the issues of ensuring the flights of aircrafts with the aim of evacuating citizens from Afghanistan. At the same time, it was emphasized that the immediate granting of permission by Turkmenistan to use its airspace has become a decisive factor in the effective evacuation of people.
In the course of the talk, the heads of foreign affairs agencies exchanged views on the issues of bilateral collaboration in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
In particular, it was noted the close interaction of Turkmenistan and Germany in the process of “Green Central Asia”, as well as bilateral cooperation in the field of education between the governments of the two countries.
The parties also exchanged views on significant issues of international and regional agenda. Mutual readiness for continuation of active dialogue on Afghan issues had been expressed.
The Ministers agreed to continue on a systematic basis regular consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and Germany with the participation of diplomatic missions.
