Audrey Azoulay: "To imagine a shared world, we need dedicated member states to build it"

    At the end of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to the further course of strengthening the Turkmen-Iranian partnership, based on the age-old principles of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual respect.

  • Turkmenistan and PRC agreed to intensify the development of cooperation in the gas sector

    Turkmenistan and China agreed to intensify the development of bilateral cooperation in the gas sector. This is stated in the Joint Statement of Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China, signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and PRC President Xi Jinping following the talks in Beijing.

    In the document, the parties noted the importance of cooperation between Turkmenistan and China in the gas field and stressed that a scheme of comprehensive cooperation in this area is being formed - production, pipeline transportation, trade, financing and technical support.

    The document emphasizes that Turkmenistan and China are strategic partners in the energy sector.

    «Adhering to the principles of mutual understanding, sincerity, openness and mutual benefit, the Parties will further fully implement the existing agreements, advance the process of negotiations on gas cooperation, accelerate the implementation of the second stage of the industrial development of the «Galkynysh» gas field, the construction of line D of the «Turkmenistan-China» gas pipeline and other major joint projects, to intensify cooperation in the gas industry», the Joint Statement of Turkmenistan and China says.

  • MEETING OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF TURKMENISTAN WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY "KAWASAKI HEAVY INDUSTRIES LTD."

    On December 21, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov had a meeting with the President of the company "Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd." Tatsuya Watanabe, during which the main areas of cooperation and ways to increase the effectiveness of interaction were discussed.

    The interest of the company in the further development of cooperation with Turkmenistan was noted.

    In this context, the parties noted with satisfaction the results of negotiations between the State Concern "Turkmenhimiya" and "Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd." on the construction of a second plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas.

  • VISIT OF THE DELEGATION OF TURKMENISTAN TO JAPAN

    The Turkmen delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov is on a working visit to Japan on December 21-24, 2022.

    Within the framework of the visit, the participation of the delegation in the 14th joint meeting of the Japanese-Turkmen and Turkmen-Japanese committees on economic cooperation, the participation of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in the 9th meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Dialogue "Central Asia + Japan", and the meetings are planned in the Government, Parliament, relevant ministries and departments, with the management of financial and export credit agencies, leading Japanese companies.

  • Talks of Presidents of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkiye continued with full participation of delegations

    By the first tripartite summit, the Joint Statement of the First Summit of heads of states of Turkmenistan, Republic of Azerbaijan and Republic of Türkiye was adopted.

    In presence of heads of states, the following documents were signed:

    Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan, Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Republic of Türkiye on trade and economic cooperation;

    Framework Program for Cooperation in science, education and culture for 2023-2025 between the Government of Turkmenistan, Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Republic of Türkiye;

    Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan, Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Republic of Türkiye on establishment of the joint consultative commission for cooperation in customs affairs;

    Memorandum of mutual understating between «Türkmengaz» State Concern, Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Energy and Natures Resources of the Republic of Türkiye on further development of cooperation in energy;

    Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye on further development of cooperation in transport.
