Statistic data of visa-free travel rules violations not alarming – European Integration Minister
The statistic data on those who have allegedly violated the Georgia-EU visa-free travel regulations are not alarming and there is no problem yet. I am greatly hopeful my compatriots to show common sense, - Georgia’s State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Issues Viktor Dolidze has declared.
According to him, Georgia is involved in an important and different cooperation with Europol.
‘We have been working on increasing the awareness of not to violate visa-free travel rules… therefore, I am hopeful for my compatriots to show common sense and if the process continues as it was so far, believe me, it will only promote increasing our mobility with the EU,’ – the Minister has remarked.
161 885 Georgian citizens enjoyed visa-free travel with the EU from March 28 till October 20. 9 875 out of them allegedly violated the 90-day term envisaged according to the law.
The Czech Republic's assistance for Georgia's European integration will be especially significant - Shalva Papuashvili
The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Georgia, H.E. Petr Mikiska, to discuss the effective bilateral cooperation between Georgia and the Czech Republic.
Shalva Papuashvili thanked the Czech Republic for its unwavering support for Georgia's territorial integrity and European aspirations.
The sides discussed Russian aggression in Ukraine.
Georgia's strong support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people was reiterated by the Speaker.
The Speaker went into great detail about Georgia's EU membership application, noting that work is currently being done to complete the questionnaire supplied by the European Commission.
The Czech Republic's assistance for Georgia's European integration, according to Shalva Papuashvili, will be especially significant when the Czech Republic assumes the presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2022.
The two parties discussed the upcoming visit of the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic to Georgia, emphasizing the significance of developing bilateral and multilateral collaboration.
Three new faces in the new Cabinet of Minister
Three new faces in the new Cabinet of Minister – Giorgi Gakharia, Zurab Alavidze and Viktor Dolidze.
Giorgi Gakharia will take the post of Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry of Georgia. Zurab Alavidze will be Minister of Infrastructure and Viktor Dolidze will take the post of the State Minister for European and Euro Atlantic Integration of Georgia.
As Giorgi Kvirikashvili said, all of them are qualified politicians.

As Kvirikashvili said, Viktor Dolidze was an active member of Georgian Dream Coalition. According to Prime Minister, he has good contacts and knows Western site well. He has contacts with experienced and qualified diplomats.
Nodar Javakhishvili will leave post
According to reports, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Nodar Javakhishvili will leave post. As it is reported, the decision is already made in the ruling party.
There are no potential candidates who should be the next Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.
As it is reported, there are some non-official informations on changes in minister’s cabinet. Including which the Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri will leave the post. Dimitri Kumsishvili will change him. Giorgi Gakharia will lead Economy Ministry. As for the State Minister of European and EU Integration of Georgia, Davit Bakradze will be changed by Viktor Dolidze. He is the former member of Free Democrats.
Several members of Free Democrats left the party
Several members of Free Democrats left the party today. Viktor Dolidze, Gia Tsagareishvili, Zurab Abashidze, Davit Onoprishvili and Irakli Chikovani made this statement today at a special press conference.
As Irakli Chikovani said, he is thankful to all supporters, including Zugdidians. According to him, new level should begin in Free Democrats. He said that he will serve to his country.
As you know, the leader of the party left Free Democrats two days ago. He left also from politics. Aleksi Petriashvili has made the same decision.
