Within the Trilateral Ministerial Levan Izoria meets his Turkish counterpart
Trilateral Ministerial was held at the level of Georgian, Turkish and Azerbaijan Defence Ministers in Batumi. In the framework of the Ministerial, Levan Izoria held a bilateral meeting with his Turkish counterpart Fikri Işık.
Minister Levan Izoria thanked Minister of National Defence of Turkey for the steadfast practical and political support of Georgia and for the assistance provided by the Turkish side in the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package implementation. As Minister Levan Izoria underlined, Georgia`s Euro-Atlantic integration aspirations is unwavering and Georgia continues implementation of democratic informs in this direction.
The sides discussed bilateral cooperation issues. A special focus was placed on military education and joint military exercises. The discussions covered the contribution provided by Georgian and Turkish troops in the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan.
The 5th consecutive ministerial meeting finished in Batumi. The trilateral cooperation at the level of Georgian, Turkish and Azerbaijan Defence Ministers began in 2012.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia (MFA), Ilia Darchiashvili and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu had a telephone conversation, where the Turkish side expressed its readiness to assist in the elimination of forest fires raging in the Borjomi municipality of Georgia.
During the telephone conversation, the Turkish Foreign Minister expressed his interest in the current situation in the municipality of Borjomi and the progress of the fire extinguishing works. He once again confirmed Turkey's commitment to provide Georgia with appropriate equipment.
Ilia Darchiashvili thanked his Turkish colleague for his help and once again emphasized the close partnership between Georgia and Turkey and noted the assistance provided by Turkey in similar situations in the past.
Within the framework of international aid, Turkey's firefighting plane with an 8-ton tank has already got involved in carrying out fire extinguishing works in Borjomi municipality. Additional aircraft are scheduled to be dispatched.

Chinese, Turkish presidents exchange congratulations on 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties
BEIJING, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on Wednesday exchanged messages of congratulations on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between their countries.
Over the past 50 years, bilateral relations have been developing steadily, Xi said in his message, adding that since the establishment of the China-Turkey strategic cooperative relationship in 2010, exchanges and cooperation in various fields have been moving forward in an orderly manner.
Since last year, Xi said, the two sides have been supporting each other in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak, and carried out fruitful cooperation on vaccines, which has deepened the friendship between the people of the two countries.
He said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Turkey relations, and stands ready to work with Erdogan to take the 50th anniversary as an opportunity to further advance bilateral ties.
The two countries, Xi suggested, should understand and support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns, accelerate the aligning of development strategies, and push for steady and long-term development of their strategic cooperative relationship, so as to bring benefits to both countries and their people.
For his part, Erdogan said Turkey-China relations have a sound foundation for mutually beneficial development.
Over the past half century, bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, transportation, tourism and other fields has achieved tremendous development, he said.
The two countries, he added, have also promoted strategic cooperation on the basis of mutual respect and exerted a positive influence on the region and the world.
In the face of COVID-19, the two countries have been working together and helping each other to ensure the health of their people, he noted.
Turkey, he said, attaches great importance to the development of bilateral relations, and will continue to push forward strategic cooperation between the two countries.
THE ISSUES OF TURKMEN-TURKISH COLLABORATION IN THE AREA OF EDUCATION DISCUSSED
On 20 April 2021, the third session of the Council on Cooperation in the field of education between Turkmenistan and Turkey was held via videoconferencing.
The delegations were headed by the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Orazgeldi Gurbanov and the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Turkey Ziya Selcuk. The representatives of the relevant departments of the two countries also took part in the meeting.
During the talks, the positive dynamics of Turkmen-Turkish collaboration in the area of culture and education was highlighted. The parties specifically stated the necessity for further intensification of mutual dialogue on education for which favorable conditions exist.
As known, the efficient cooperation experience is accumulated between the Turkmen and Turkish institutions of higher education. With the aim of overall strengthening of ties among the secondary and higher institutions of specialized education, the parties agreed to continue further active participation in joint meetings and seminars, including the exchange of best practices on the development of modern curricula and teaching methods.

Warmly greeting each other, the leaders of two states exchange congratulations and best wishes on occasion of Eid al Adha. Having noted that this holiday, which is based on the principles of humanity, embodies goodwill and high spiritual and moral values, the sides expressed confidence that Eid Al Adha would give new stimuli to further strengthening of understanding and mutual heal in Muslim world.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that the Republic of Turkey is fraternal state for Turkmenistan, cooperation with which has long-term and strategic character.
During the conversation, the sides have noted with delight that Turkmen – Turkish friendly relations receive new content at present time and implementation of joint projects supports to better interstate dialog.
Turkey is one of the countries, with which Turkmenistan successfully develops trade and economic relations, the Leader of the Nation said, having focused on importance of using significant potential for expansion of productive relations in this direction and rendering relative support to each other if it is necessary.
Having confirmed the commitment of two countries to unbreakable fraternal relations, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan noted that all efforts would be put for further strengthening of interstate relations.
Discussing current issues of regional and global agenda, the sides have spoken of the coronavirus pandemic.
Having highlighted that Turkmenistan supports the efforts of the world community in combating of spread of this dangerous infection, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that efforts of all countries have to be consolidated for achievement of specific results.
In this regard, Turkmen leader confirmed invariable willingness of our country to cooperate in development of new methods in this direction.
Continuing the subject and having expressed gratitude to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for special attention of personal contribution to strengthening of interstate relations, the President of Turkmen state expressed gratitude for provided support and medical appliances and personal protective equipment sent to our country. the Head of the State noted that this fact is considered as a symbol of unbreakable friendship between two countries.
In the end of the conversation, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan exchanged congratulations on Eid Al Adha, having wished health and success to each other and peace and prosperity to people of two countries.

Helsinki – Within the framework of the CoE Ministerial Meeting, Georgian Foreign Minister, David Zalkaliani held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
Reaffirming the strategic partnership between the two countries, the sides reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen co-operation.
Paying special attention to the need to further strengthen economic relations, the sides expressed the hope that the Georgia-Turkey Joint Economic Trade Committee (JETCO) will hold its first meeting in the near future.
The Georgian Foreign Minister thanked Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu for active support of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations both in bilateral and multilateral formats.
The Ministers also highlighted the importance of co-operation within the framework of international transit and energy projects.
